ExplainPrompt: Decoding the language of AI prompts

Abstract

Prompt engineering is an emerging field where researchers are discovering new patterns of communication between humans and large language models. Powerful new abstractions like few-shot examples, tool use and reflection give prompt engineers the ability to create increasingly complex tasks for language models to solve while also opening up opportunities to visualize large prompts more succinctly. ExplainPrompt is a AI visualization project which is mapping out this new language of prompts and distilling them down into a clear and simple visualization style for prompt engineering.
